Wild Game Dinner...Wild Time!

The 1st Annual Wild Game Dinner at Haywood Community College was a huge success!!! The Wildlife Club students set the bar high for future club members. There was plenty of delicious wild game to choose from and no one had an excuse to leave hungry. Buffet items included bear and 'hawg' stews, fresh trout, fried walleye, buffalo stew, deer cooked in a dozen different ways, and other culinary surprises! Haywood instructors David Burnette and Bob Pinkston provided awesome live entertainment and Linda Caldwell auctioned off many donated items. Everyone in attendance was impressed with the many donations and many left the dinner with a nice prize. Students, faculty, and audience members also participated in a game-calling competition as well.

Thanks to our many sponsors and those who attended, students were able to raise $2,300 for future club projects and educational trips!!! Thank you for attending and making the club members’ exhaustive efforts well worthwhile! If you didn’t get a chance to attend, don’t miss next year’s 2nd Annual Wild Game Dinner.
