Mountain Wildlife and Wilderness Day November 10

The HCC Wildlife Club and Natural Resources Department is hosting Mountain Wildlife and Wilderness Day at Haywood Community College on Saturday, November 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Activities will include a hiking seminar from Joel and Kathy Zachry who recently completed the Appalachian Trail, talks on the role and history of the black bear in the mountains, and an exhibition and presentation on raptors from Save Our American Raptors, South. Bob Caldwell of "Bob Caldwell Outdoors" will also be presenting. The public, students, and wildlife and outdoor enthusiasts alike are invited to this free event. Exhibitors and environmental promoters will also be on hand to share information and employment opportunities for job-seekers interested in careers in wildlife management.
