Horticulture Service Project

Students from the horticulture program and horticulture club recently joined together to help out Silver Bluff, a retirement/nursing home facility in Canton.

As part of their program to enrich the lives of the residents and staff, a small atrium area was included in the original design plans of the facility to house numerous interior plants. Our students helped improve the health and appearance of their plant collection by grooming, trimming, transplanting, fertilizing and watering. Several plants from the school's greenhouse (many of them grown by our students) were donated as well.
Here you can see the students busy transplanting and grooming. Everyone involved agreed it was a fun and rewarding experience.
