John Sherman Interviewed by NCCCS BioNetwork

The background image is of a Beta website and database that will allow instructors around the state to access proven plant tissue culture protocols. The website and database project is led by Donna Riddle of Wilkes Community College. Wilkes Community College, Haywood Community College, Mayland Community College, and Southeastern Community College are the charter members of the collaborative.

John Sherman was interviewed by the NCCCS BioNetwork about his role in the statewide Plant Micropropagation Collaborative. Dr. Sherman has been involved as PI or Co-PI with well over $100,000 in competitive grants from the BioNetwork. You can find him on many evenings working in the BioTechnology Laboratory in the 400 building that was also funded by the BioNetwork. You can listen to his interview here.

These BioNetwork grants and efforts at community colleges around the state have helped North Carolina become a national leader in BioTechnology Workforce Development.

One of our new employees also has an ongoing interest in biotechnology. Can you guess who this is ?
