Organic Crop Production Project

Members of the Organic Crop Production class recently visited Bethel Eden Farms, a local greenhouse business specializing in vegetables. Their "assignment" for the day was to assist the owners in building a plastic covered quonset-style hoophouse. This gave the students an opportunity to develop hands-on skills in the techniques of erecting a greenhouse structure from scratch. By days end the frames had all been erected. Support braces and the plastic covering will be added at a later date.
