Refurbishing Greenhouse Perennial Plantings...

Students enrolled in the Horticulture Technology curriculum’s Landscape Management class have been working on refurbishing the perennial bed on the right side of the greenhouse complex.  The area will be utilized to house a collection of 56 different cultivars of bearded iris (Iris germanica) in a wide range of colors.  The collection was donated by Alex Howe, a graduate of the program. Planting of the irises will be completed in the summer by students enrolled in Horticulture Practices.  Flowers are expected next spring. (Post by John Sherman)
