Sophomore Horticulture Field Trips

The end of Spring semester was a busy time for students in the Organic Crop Production class. Students visited two local businesses, Jolley Farms and Mountain Harvest Organics.

Zeb and June Jolley have their greenhouses in Canton where they grow microgreens, lettuce mixes, specialty and heirloom vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers for local grocers and upscale restaurants.

Carl and Julie operate Mountain Harvest Organics, an organic CSA farm located in Hot Springs. Their main focus is on vegetables but also offer strawberries and raise chickens and pigs to provide their customers with fresh eggs and sausage.
