Balsam Range to perform at Haywood Community College

Hoping to make a difference
Posted on: April 23, 2013, by Tim Surrett

We get so many requests to do benefits and charity functions that we don’t know how to do them. I hope you know that we care about every situation that is put before us. We try to contribute in any way possible.

Recently I was approached by my niece Paige, who is a third grade teacher at Clyde Elementary School in Clyde, NC. She told me that the school was trying to figure out a way to help two students suffering with cancer, and could Balsam Range help. We worked on days and schedules, which are nearly impossible to coordinate, and were able to settle on this coming Sunday.

These two children and their families are having a really tough time. One is a third-grader, the other is in kindergarten. Their stories are heartbreaking.

Please come be with us this Sunday afternoon at Haywood Community College at 3PM. It’s just Balsam Range, so we can play whatever we like and whatever you want to hear. ALL proceeds go to these two children.

Check out the concert listing for the details, and help Balsam Range help some precious children. I don’t know that I could deal with a situation like this as well as these people have.

Let’s show them what Balsam Nation is all about!!
